Lake Cities Edge Staff Amy Miller/Club Director is the director and founder of Lake Cities Edge Volleyball Club. She received her BS from Texas Woman's University and is currently teaching and coaching at Edward S Marcus High School in Flower Found, TX. She has 20 years coaching experience in a variety of sports: softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, field hockey, and track. She has coached at many levels as well including: youth recreation, club, elite club, Olympic Development Program, middle school, high school subvarsity, and high school varsity. Amy has a wealth of experience in building, organizing and running other high level clubs in basketball, soccer and softball. She has been Director of Coach and Player Devlopment for such organizations as GLASA and LGSA. She is experienced with the NCAA recruiting process and is ACEP and IMPACT certified. Amy is married to Tom Miller and they have four daughters Taren, Kali, Britny, and Jenna. She is looking forward to the LCE addition of the 5th graders and the U11 age group! Jennifer Labutta/Coach U15 Orange is in her fourth year of involvement with LCE. She came to us first as a player, then as an assistant, and last year she took the helm of her own team. She is excellent in the development of players because she has 5 years club experience, 3 years varsity experience, as well as managing NTVA, and is IMPACT certified. Christy Alvillar/Coach U14 Orange is returning to Lake Cities Edge this year after leaving to take an assistant position at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Not only has she coached volleyball at the college level, but she also played at Texas A and M University Commerce. She is currently teaching and coaching at Life School Dallas. Christy received her BS from TAMU-C in Buisness Management and is currently working on a Masters Degree in Sports Management. She is also IMPACT certified. Dani Silva/Coach U14 Black is returning for her 2nd season with LCE. Dani is currently persuing her Bachlors at Texas Woman's University and plans to coach high school upon completion. She graduated from Mrcus High School where she lettered in volleyball for 3 years. She has had extensive experience in club volleyball including qualifying for the JOs five times. She is IMPACT certified. Stephanie Figgers/Coach U14 White is a recent graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where she received her BS in Biology. While at SFA, Stephanie lettered for 4 years as a libero. She coached at the clinics and camps offered at SFA. Prior to SFA, she played 12-18s at Texas Tornados in Houston and 3 years varsity at Katy Taylor High School. Stephanie is IMPACT certified. Jaime Steen/Coach U13 Orange comes to LCE for her innaugeral club season, however, she brings 4 years of experience coaching middle school volleyball as well as high school playing experience. Jaime received her BS in Elementary Education from UNT and is currently working on her Masters of Education in Counseling while teaching at McCamey Middle School. She is impact certified. Cristin Hopkin/Coach U13 Black is a recent graduate of Stephen F Austin University where she received her BS in Buisness Management. While at SFA Cristin lettered for 4 years as a defensive specialist and was a part of one of SFA's most successful squads reaching the NCAA Round of 32. Prior to SFA she played club volleball including a trip to the JOs as well as 2 years varsity at Marcus High School. She is in her first year with LCE, but has experience coaching camps and clinics and is IMPACT certified. Teresa Kenney/Coach U13 White is one of LCE's most experienced and qualified coaches. Although this will be her first season with Lake Cities Edge, Teresa has coached at the Collegiate, High School, Middle School and Elementary levels. She is IMPACT certified. Marcia Cooke/Coach U12 Orange is returning to LCE for her fourth year and is IMPACT certified. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health. She played two years of basketball for OSU. Marcia has taught for 23 years and coached for 22 years. She has coached 7th and 8th grade volleyball for 20 years with the last ten at Briarhill Middle School. Several of her 8th grade teams at Briarhill have won the LISD District Championship. Marcia has been married 15 years to Phil Cooke, an economics teacher at Marcus. They have two daughters, Brooke Jefferies and Lauren. She is very excited about coaching this year for Lake Cities Edge! Becky Peterson/Coach U12 Black is entering her first year as a coach for LCE. She played for one season with Lake Cities Edge and has played 3 years of club at the national level. Becky has Varsity experience at Marcus High School where she helped lead them to a District Championship in 2006. She played at MHS for 3 years. Becky is also IMPACT certified. Beri Deister/Coach U11 Nancy Legget/Coach U11 Erin Baker/Assistant is returning to LCE for her 4th year. She played club with LCE for 1 season, and after graduating from Marcus High School, where she played varsity volleyball, became an assistant coach with LCE for 2 years. She is currently attending College and playing volleyball. She is IMPACT certified. Emily Mathis/Assistant is entering her first season with LCE where she plans to assist coach, gain experience, and eventually take her own team. Emily is a recent graduate of the University of North Texas where she received her BA. She has highschool volleyball experience and is IMPACT certified. Jenna Miller/Assistant returns to LCE for her second year as an assistant coach. She is currently a senior and varsity volleyball player at Marcus High School. She has 7 years club volleyball experience including a trip to the JOs and is IMPACT certified. Jenna plans to attend college as a recruited NCAA Div I player next year. She is a volunteer in the LCE coaching development program. We are fortunate that she has returned to the LCE staff! Lauren Cooke/Assistant is in her inaugural season with LCE as an assistant coach. She has 6 years club volleyball experience, three trips to the JOs and is a Junior at Marcus High School where she has lettered in volleyball for 2 years. She is a volunteer in the LCE coaching development program. We are proud to have her join the LCE staff! Kaleigh Wright/Assistant is in her inaugural season with LCE as an assistant coach. She has 6 years club volleyball experience, three trips to the JOs and is a Junior at Marcus High School where she has lettered in volleyball for 2 years.
